"SHAQ'S BIG CHALLENGE"
I've been recording this show on our DVR. It's pretty good! It goes hand-in-hand with the 2004 documentary Super Size Me.

Shaq's mission is to help resolve the nation's childhood obesity problem. He got his doctor, trainer and former college basketball coach involved. They are helping 6 kids overcome their morbid obesity health issues and bad eating habits. Everyone is also helping the parents adjust their lives and lifesstyles to help their kids get fit.

Shaq also recruited Tyler Florence (from the Food Network) to revamp the lunch menu. He didn't do too well at first but then he was able to make some cafeteria food taste good without making burgers and fries. His lunch budget sucked - $1 per student! Can you believe that?!

In this weeks episode, the principal of his prototype school helped resolve a scheduling issue. Shaq and his team wants to increase physical activity but the school administration can not take away from their class time nor add to it. So, the principal and her staff found a way to incorporate a wellness program into their existing classes and curriculum. It is called the Shaquille O'Neal Wellness Wheel!

One of his 6 students also inspired other classmates and friends to get fit. Nearly 40 overweight students stayed after school and joined in the physical activity and training.

It's very inspirational! Check it out.
